Creativity takes courage, and for me, art has been both liberating and life-affirming. My journey into the world of art began with my mother, who painted in oils during her younger years. Watching her express herself through color and form sparked something within me, and over time, my surroundings and the people I encountered deepened this passion. Today, my work spans various mediums, including watercolor botanicals, acrylic, oil, illustrations, and self-affirmation art.
I find immense joy in creating art that reflects both the beauty of nature and the vastness of the universe. Lately, I?ve drawn inspiration from the cosmos, fascinated by the awe-inspiring images released by NASA?s James Webb and Hubble Space Telescopes. These celestial visuals have transformed my work, leading me to explore new dimensions of color, shape, and form. I am also deeply influenced by the impressionist greats, particularly Monet and Van Gogh. Their vibrant palettes and bold, thick strokes have inspired much of my artistic style, where emotion and energy are conveyed through color and texture.
The key themes of my work often revolve around life itself?creation, preservation, and the natural cycle of withering away. I?ve explored this pattern through various series, including my Buddha and nature-based works. Each piece I create is a reflection of the world around me, infused with my perceptions and emotions. Whether I am painting botanicals, exploring the universe, or practicing calligraphy, art always returns something therapeutic, making the process deeply rewarding.
