My journey as an artist has been a lifelong passion, deeply rooted in the creative arts since my childhood. While my primary focus lies in 2D art forms such as painting, drawing, and sketching, I find myself most captivated by watercolors. This medium allows me to explore themes that revolve around Traditional Indian Subjects, especially those imbued with a rustic appeal. Portraiture holds a special place in my heart, particularly the eyes, where I delve deeply into capturing the expression and soul of my subjects. This focus allows me to bring their essence to life on the canvas, merging traditional aesthetics with personal insight. My inspiration often draws from scenes related to Kerala, where the traditional and rustic appeal serves as a recurring theme in my portraits and sculptures. Whether through the weathered textures of a face or the exotic allure of traditional attire, I strive to evoke a sense of timelessness and cultural richness. Craft work, including terracotta jewellery, decoupage, and floral arrangements, also occupies a significant part of my creative expression. These crafts complement my paintings, adding another layer to my exploration of tradition and culture. The roots of my artistic journey can be traced back to my school days when my drawing teacher, Miss Vijaylakshmi, recognized my potential. She nurtured my talent, providing me with reading and observing material that I studied diligently. This early encouragement fueled my passion, leading me to participate in numerous exhibitions across India and internationally. Yet, above all, I create art for my mental satisfaction, finding peace and fulfillment in the process of bringing my vision to life.
