Ritu Lahoti
I am an Indian artist from Indore, Madhya Pradesh the cleanest city of India, An alumnus of the Government Institute of Fine Arts,Indore. My works are selected to be presented at the various National and State Exhibition Art in New Delhi, Bhopal, Mumbai and many more. I have also participated in the various residency programs and exhibitions. My artworks give critical views on social & economic effects on the materialistic world in which we live. My works are inspired from the banknotes of different countries; I use to rearrange the forms and intricate details that we see on bank notes. These bank notes always inspire me to create something that relate to the society, nature, my surroundings, materialization on today?s world and impact of hunger for money everywhere. My works also shows the material reality of the world. A viewer can easily create its own visualisations and stories from my work.
