Born in Bhavnagar, Gujarat, and now based in Mumbai, Suchita Ambardekar is a self-taught contemporary artist whose creative journey began in 2019. With an academic background in Science, she brings a sense of precision and curiosity to her artistic process, blending observation with imagination to create deeply evocative works.

Her subjects span a wide visual spectrum—trees, cups and saucers, mountains, urban bridges, landscapes, florals, seas, waves, and abstract interpretations of the monsoon, both rural and urban. Each series reflects her sensitivity to nature’s rhythm and the poetry of everyday life, rendered primarily through her expressive use of watercolor and mixed media.

Suchita’s dedication and talent have earned her numerous accolades and opportunities for exhibition. She was the recipient of the Camlin Art Cart (2021), honored as the Emerging Artist of the Year (2022), and won the Romanika Art Landscape Award. Her work was also recognized internationally at IWS Georgia – Watercolour Day 2023.

Her paintings have been featured in prestigious exhibitions such as the Bombay Art Society (Bandra), DD Neroy Art Gallery (2023), and the RMB Women Entrepreneurs Exhibition (2024). At the Egata Art Exhibition, she received both Silver and Diamond Awards from the Bombay Art Society—testament to her growing presence in India’s art scene.

To date, Suchita has sold 17 paintings, a reflection of the growing appreciation for her luminous color palette, meditative compositions, and ability to transform the familiar into the quietly extraordinary.

Driven by intuition and inspired by the natural and urban worlds around her, Suchita Ambardekar continues to evolve her practice—painting not just what she sees, but what she feels beneath the surface.
