As the daughter of an army officer, my childhood was nomadic, filled with constant movement across remote corners of India. The vast and diverse landscapes I encountered during these years left a lasting imprint on me, inspiring a deep connection to nature. I channel these vivid memories into my work, allowing me to revisit and reimagine the experiences I had as a child. Painting, for me, is a way to capture the ethereal beauty of the world?its ever-changing colors, textures, and forms.

I am often drawn to certain colors without fully understanding the reason behind it. It?s only when I complete a piece that I begin to comprehend what my subconscious has been working through. The unpredictability of this journey excites me. I view each canvas as an opportunity for discovery, a chance to unearth something previously hidden within myself. My approach to painting is not about rigid planning, but about being present in the moment and allowing the work to guide me.

Nature is my greatest source of inspiration. The pristine, untouched places I visited during my childhood?far removed from human interference?serve as my muses. These places, along with the resourcefulness I developed growing up in an army household, have profoundly shaped my artistic practice. Painting is not just a hobby or a profession for me; it is a necessity. It grounds me, offering a sense of balance and presence in a world that is constantly shifting. In the past two years, I?ve had the opportunity to exhibit my work and engage with others beyond my studio, enriching my understanding of art as a means of communication and shared experience.
