A journey of rediscovery, a return to the essence of who I am, is what art means to me. Growing up with a defence background, creativity often took a back seat, but it has always been a part of my core. Now, I am reconnecting with that creative spark, using oils, acrylics, and charcoal to translate my thoughts and emotions onto canvas.
My artistic process begins when something beautiful and meaningful captures my attention. It’s not just about recreating what I see but about interpreting it in my own unique way. The elements that resonate with me, that stir something deep within, find their way into my work, transformed through my own creative lens. Whether it’s a fleeting expression on a face or a mood that lingers in the air, I seek to capture these moments and immortalize them through my art.
I am particularly drawn to the technique of impressionism, which I am currently exploring and incorporating into my portraits. There’s something profoundly captivating about this style-the way it conveys emotion and atmosphere through brushstrokes and color. My work is centered on expressions and moods, aiming to capture the essence of the subjects I portray.
I paint because it allows me to create something tangible, something meaningful, with my hands. It’s a way to connect with myself and with others, one brushstroke at a time.
